How many wires are required for a smart thermostat installations?

In order to install nest, aura or any smart thermostat, a minimum of 4-wires are required to carry out a single speed fan installation. In order to carry out a 3-speed fan installation (low, medium and high), 6-wires are required. The Digital Homes technical team will carry out an inspection of your AC system and will advise you if you have the right wiring in place and will check if your fan motor supports 3-speed fan.

What is the difference between single-speed fan and three-speed fan?

Three speed fan means that your AC’s fan motor blower operates on 3 speeds (low, medium and high). Most AC systems in UAE are 3 speed fan.

Is it Possible to take my smart thermostats with me to my new home?

Yes it is possible. You need to keep aside your old thermostats so they can be re-installed. Digital Homes will remove your smart thermostats along with the conversion kits, re-connect your old thermostats and test them. Separate charges apply.

What is a mesh WIFI system?

Mesh WiFi or Whole Home WiFi systems consists of a main router that connects directly to your modem, and a series of satellite modules, or nodes, placed around your house for full WiFi coverage. They are all part of a single wireless network and share the same SSID and password, unlike traditional WiFi routers.
